Peace

In the midst of war, persecution, peril, worrisome times, chaotic conditions, we have peace in Christ.

  • What is peace? Absence of War. Absence of Worry.
  • Is peace possible? Not for the Wicked.
  • Peace is a Person. Promised and Provided in Christ.

    Definition from the American Heritage Dictionary

      peace   noun:

    1. The absence of war or other hostilities.
    2. An agreement or a treaty to end hostilities.
    3. Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations.
    4. Public security and order.
    5. Inner contentment; serenity.

    Not for the wicked

    Isaiah 48:22
        There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.

    Isaiah 51:20-22
        But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
        There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

    Jeremiah 6:14
        They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
